Dance Party!

Well, this is new! A Dance class from Pierce School Musical?

We're lucky to have a dance instructor/choreographer with us this year named Tara Choat. Tara's a Southern California native studying at Boston University and has already earned her stripes with us as a cast supervisor this fall. She's aching to teach some dance to the kids, but where? Thanks to Bryan Fuller at Power Rowing, we've got a very cool space right next to Pierce.

Dance class will take place on Tuesdays after school starting January 11 and running until March 22, at which time we'll have a real dance party and let

the kids show you what they've been learning.

Tuesday Dance is open to 4th – 6th graders and will focus on general dance techniques and movement basics that are super fun and will lead to dane routines that the kids will learn. Styles will vary from hip hop, jazz and a selection of routines made popular on TikTok!

Class dates will be January 11, 18, 25, February 8 & 15, March 1, 8, 15 and 22. (Days not appearing here are school holidays.) The class will meet in the cafeteria after school for a snack, then walk to Power Rowing for a one hour class that should conclude by 4:00pm.

Important: 5th or 6th graders placed in the Tue-Fri cast of Annie will not be able to complete this class and will receive a $100 (pro rated) refund.
